AES has been awarded a turnkey contract by Sapura Energy for the air / surface diving works and for the installation of two 17.6km 36-inch diameter gas pipelines and four fibre optic cables across the Dardanelles Crossing at Sea of Marmara. The Project is part of the Trans Anatolia Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) from Azerbaijan to Europe.

PROJECT:

TANAP Project is to bring natural gas produced from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 gas field, and other areas of the Caspian Sea, primarily to Turkey, but also on to Europe. The TANAP Project, along with the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) form the elements of the Southern Gas Corridor is approximately a 1850km long pipeline Project.

 

SCOPE OF WORK:

Supported pipeline shore pull operations and pipeline's above water tie-in (AWTI) operations from AES Diving Support Vessel and from Sapura Energy’s Pipeline Installation DP SK 1200 Vessel.

Provided diving equipment on-board the vessel, deck decompression chamber, associated diving manual, QA and HSE plans with TANAP approved Dive plans used in conjunction with Sapura’s installation plans.

Supported FOC shore pull operations and buoyancy aids removal at both European and Anatolian ends of FOC route.

Provided the appropriate personnel and retain throughout the execution of the work scope with applicable certificates, such as Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET), licenses, qualifications and competency levels required to perform the duties.

Provided product and work quality through full compliance with approved project specifications of TANAP.
