We have provided system specifications, design, engineering, testing and certification support that has helped evolve the Program from its concept stage to the first hardware deliverable. Total participation is over 10 years in the novel Program including involvement with key elements listed below. This extensive involvement through all phases of development has placed us in the unique position of possessing broad technical knowledge, programmatic experience, and a thorough understanding of the various MIL standards and ABS requirements and established the roots.

PROJECT:

SRDRS is to provide capability of pressurized transportation of rescuees from a stricken submarine directly to the decompression system and designed to operate from the deck of a commercial or military vessel of opportunity, with sufficient deck area and strength. This constitutes a radical departure from the capabilities of the previous Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV), which relied on specially modified mother submarines or ships. SRDRS components are designed to fit within standard ISO-container dimensions for simplified transportation, with weight minimization to provide optimal air transport.

The Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS) consists of distinct elements, which include the Assessment/Underwater Work System (AUWS); Submarine Decompression System (SDS); and the Pressurized Rescue Module System (PRMS); and PRMS Mission Support Equipment, including the Launch and Recovery System (LARS) a deck mounted A-frame crane used to launch and recover the PRM.


INVOLVEMENT:
